
The OBA Health Insurance Plans are available to individual members and their families, as well as employer-employee groups of 2 or more.
Members of the OBA are elgible to apply for Association-Sponsored Individual Health Insurance Plans, underwritten by Aetna Life Insurance Company. All plans are Open Choice PPO plans - to see if your providers are included in the network, go to www.aetna.com/docfind and select "Aetna Standard Plans" and "Open Choice PPO".
The following High Deductible Health Plan options (HDHPs) qualify for use with a Health Savings Account. Save premium dollars by selecting a HDHP and make the money you save work for you by depositing it, tax deductible, into an HSA! To learn more about HSAs, click here.
$1500/$3000 HDPD - If you only cover yourself, your deductible is $1500, or, if you cover spouse and/or child(ren), your family aggregate deductible is $3000. Eligible medical and prescription expenses are applied to your deductible, then paid at 80% in-Network or 60% non-Network until you meet your out-of-pocket maximum.
$3000/$5950 HDHP - If you only cover yourself, your deductible is $3000, or, if you cover your spouse and/or child(ren), your family aggregate deductible is $5950. Eligible medical and prescription expenses are applied to your deductible, then paid at 100% in-Network or 80% non-Network until you meet your out-of-pocket maximum.
$5000/$10,000 HDHP - If you only cover yourself, your deductible is $5000, or, if you cover your spouse and/or child(ren), your family aggregate deductible is $10,000. Eligible medical and prescription expenses are applied to your deductible, then paid at 100% in-Network or 80% non-Network until you meet your out-of-pocket maximum.
The $500, $1000 and $2500 Deductible plans feature a $25 Doctor Office Copay and $5 Generic Prescriptions / $50 Brand Name Prescriptions. Once the deductible has been met, eligible expenses are covered 80% in-Network or 60% non-Network.
